She is a qualified Doctor in Ayurveda and had recently retired as Additional Director, Department of AYUSH Government of Andhra Pradesh. She is working for the poor and needy children and has opened a Trust called Sri Prativadi Bhayankara Appan Krishnama Charya Charitable Foundation Trust. She is based out of Hyderabad.
